Greetings Brothers and Guests,
It is an honor to welcome you to the Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., also known as “The Wall Street Alphas.” It is our hope that you feel at home and are inspired by the spirit of brotherhood, fellowship, and commitment that embodies our chapter. Originally chartered August 22, 1974, Kappa Xi Lambda covers Lower Manhattan. The chapter was re-charted on October 5, 2002 and has been striving to become the preeminent chapter in New York City ever since.
At KXL, we try to maintain a balance of social activities and community service programs. In the past we have held several events to raise funds for and awareness of several worthy causes including the MLK Memorial, Habitat for Humanity’s New Orleans, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and the American Cancer Society just to name a few. We participate annually in the March for Babies with the March of Dimes and created “Alphas Against AIDS to coincide with the annual AIDS Walk NY.
Brothers of Alpha who are currently without a home, we invite you to
come and visit us. We host our General Chapter meetings every second
Tuesday of the month at the National Urban League (120 Wall Street
btw. Front & South Sts).
The Wall Street Alphas are on the move. Once again, thank you for
joining us and we look forward to your comments and feedback.
Fraternally,
Bro. Lael Chappell
